About Us
The New England Federation of Humane Societies consists of a twelve member Board of Directors and an Advisory Council that may not exceed 12 in any given year.
Directors of the New England Federation of Humane Societies are the trustees of the Federation's finances and the managers of the Federation's activities, responsible for the establishment and implementation of policies and programs consistent with the organization's purpose, bylaws, and goals. Directors are elected by the Federation’s membership.
Advisory Council members of the New England Federation of Humane Societies provide special expertise, experience, or perspectives. They offer advice and counsel, but hold no voting privileges on the Board. They are appointed for a one-year term by the Board of Directors.
